Nasarawa State Pilgrims Board hajj official has started payment of BTA balance to its pilgrims.
This followed a directive by the ES of the board Mallam Idris Almakura shortly after meeting with pilgrims and other stakeholders in Makkah.
Mallam Almakura explained that the board had earlier given pilgrims 200 dollars as part of their BTA and will get the balance of 210 dollars as against earlier arrangements of 300 dollars due to increase in the foreign exchange rate.
The Executive Secretary of the board further noted that all pilgrims will get their BTA balance in Riyals equivalent of 783 due to dollar scarcity.
He urged pilgrims to remain calm as the board is working round the clock to ensure their welfare.
