In line with the directive from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), the Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, has officially announced the 2025 Hajj deposit for intending pilgrims from the state.
Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u made this announcement today during a meeting with Local Government Hajj Center Officers held at his office.
As directed by NAHCON, the deposit for the 2025 Hajj has been set at eight million, four hundred thousand naira (₦8,400,000) only. The Director General stated that the Board will commence the collection of deposits through bank drafts submitted via Local Government Hajj Center Officers. The collection will begin immediately and will continue until the closing date, which will be announced alongside the final Hajj fare.
Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u urged all intending pilgrims to ensure timely payments in accordance with the schedule provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the 2025 Hajj. He further emphasized that intending pilgrims are required to submit eight passport-sized photographs, a valid international passport, and have a personal bank account for proper identification.
Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u added that NAHCON has allocated four thousand three hundred and Fifty-six (4,356) Hajj seats to Kano State, which will be distributed across all local governments in the state.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Alhaji Yusif Lawan, prayed to Almighty Allah to grant all intending pilgrims the means and opportunity to make their Hajj payments without hardship.
Alhaji Yusif Lawan also called on Local Government Hajj Center Officers to work diligently, day and night, to ensure that the allocated seats for their respective areas are secured and properly managed.
