HAJJ 2025: OGUN URGES INTENDING PILGRIMS ON PROMPT DEPOSIT OF HAJJ FARE

Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board (OGMPWB) has implored intending pilgrims for the 2025 Hajj to hasten their initial deposits to secure seats on a “first come, first served” basis.

 Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Taiwo Ajibola, made the call during a sensitisation programme at Jumaat Services in Ijebu-Ode and its environs, in preparation for the 2025 Hajj operation, noting that the payment was part of modalities for pilgrimage to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Alhaji Ajibola reiterated that payment of the initial deposit of N8.500,000, in not more than three instalments, has commenced, pending the announcement of the final hajj fare by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

 According to the Executive Secretary, ‘’the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Saudi Arabia has pronounced Wednesday, 19 February 2025 for the commencement of issuance of visa, which will end on Friday, 18 April 2025. It is important to let you know that a visa can only be issued if the initial deposit had been completed’’.

He also informed prospective pilgrims to visit the Board’s Office, Block B, New Secretariat Complex, Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, for further information.
