The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board, under the leadership of Director General Alh. Alh Ahmad Umar Labbo, FCFA, NFI, paid a courtesy visit to the Command Headquarters of the Jigawa State Police.
The visit is part of the board’s to strengthen institutional collaboration and enhance effective security coordination.
Ahmad Labbo said the visit provided an opportunity for both institutions to discuss areas of mutual interest, particularly the importance of robust security arrangements, effective communication, inter-agency cooperation, and the protection of pilgrims and other stakeholders throughout the Hajj operational process.
Labbo appreciated the Commissioner of Police for granting the delegation an audience and acknowledged the support and cooperation consistently extended by the Police Command to the Board.
While receiving the Director General and his entourage, the Commissioner of Police Tajjani Murtala appreciated the visit and commended the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board for its vital role in coordinating the welfare and religious obligations of pilgrims from the State.
CP Tijjani Murtala assured the delegation of the Command’s readiness to sustain close collaboration with the Board and other relevant stakeholders to ensure the safety, security, and well-being of pilgrims and officials. He emphasized that the Police Command remains committed to providing professional, responsive, and intelligence-led security services whenever required.
The Commissioner further stressed the importance of early planning, information sharing, and coordinated security arrangements, noting that effective collaboration among relevant agencies remains essential to achieving a smooth, safe, and successful pilgrimage operation.
The meeting ended on a positive note, with both parties reaffirming their commitment to continued partnership, mutual support, and effective coordination in the interest of public safety and the well-being of Jigawa State pilgrims.
