Hajj pilgrims can be tracked by their families from Bangladesh – Religious Affairs Adviser

Religious Affairs Adviser Dr. A F M Khalid Hossain has stated that the Hajj pilgrims will be beneficiary from modern technology, as they can be tracked down by their family members in Bangladesh.

Dr. Khalid made the remark at a religious event, held at Jamia Talimiah Madrasa in Pagla Ardasha Nagar are under Fatulla union in Narayanganj on Wednesday afternoon.

“A meeting has been held with Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB) and an initiative has been taken following the Chief Adviser’s direction to set up a Hajj Management Center,” he said.

He also said that in addition to pre-arrival visas, devices will be attached to pilgrims’ luggage at Ashkona Hajj camp which will allow family members in Bangladesh to track the whereabouts of their relatives in Saudi Arabia.

He further mentioned that doctors, nurses, and technicians will accompany the pilgrims to provide healthcare services. Arrangements will also be made for patients requiring surgery or dialysis.

Regarding BNP Vice-Chairman Tarique Rahman’s proposal for a unified Eid celebration, he said that there are differing opinions among islamic scholars, and they should make a decision collectively.

 

Maulana Hafizur Rahman Siddique (Kuakata) and various other clerics and students from madrashas were also present during the event.
