The Sole administrator of the River State Muslim Pilgrims Board, Alh Diepriye Abdulrazak, said he has secured the dollar equivalent of the BTA for the River State Board’s intending pilgrims to the 2025 Hajj.
Speaking to HAJJ REPORTERS, Abdulrazak said he quickly decided to change the money to avoid late hour trouble that can create uncertainties in the minds of intending pilgrims
“As soon as I learned of the CBN’s decision to issue a payment card for the BTA, I immediately contacted the parallel market and got $500 each for keeps. Yes, we are lucky the dollar-to-naira rate didn’t exceed what the pilgrim paid for the BTA.
I must commend Hajj Reporters for bringing this issue to the public domain.
“Truly, pilgrims need absolute time to focus on the rites of hajj if they are to attain hajj mabrur. Distractions like the use of this card can make them lose concentration in Saudi Arabia, and I hope that the Campaign HAJJ REPORTERS is waging will yield positive results so that other states can get cash for their pilgrims.
