A delegation of executive members of Independent Hajj Reporters (IHR) has paid a working visit to the refurbished corporate head office of Alkauthar Travels and Tours in Abuja.
The visit, which took place on Wednesday, was led by the National Coordinator of IHR, Ibrahim Mohammed, and was received by the Managing Director of Alkauthar Travels and Tours, Abuja, Rabiat Umar.
Mohammed said the visit was aimed at briefing the company’s management on arrangements for IHR’s forthcoming annual lecture and awards, scheduled to hold in Abuja on Thursday, August 19, 2026.
“As a major partner of our flagship annual event, we thought it necessary to visit the MD and brief her on the arrangements put in place so far for the lecture and awards event,” Mohammed said.
Following the reception, Umar led the delegation on a tour of the refurbished office, including the new visitors’ room, the managing director’s office and the operations room equipped with modern facilities.
Umar said several factors informed the company’s decision to upgrade its facilities and reposition its operations to meet evolving industry standards.
“A lot of factors have made it imperative for our company to not just upgrade our facilities here, but also revamp our operations as a whole in order to meet the high standards and expectations of the management of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and the reforms being put in place by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia,” she said.
On the forthcoming IHR lecture and awards, Umar said the company would continue to support the event and work towards making it successful.
“As always, we will play our part to make sure the event meets or surpasses last year’s lecture and awards,” she said.
She described the partnership with IHR as mutually beneficial, adding, “We have found the partnership with Independent Hajj Reporters a worthy venture which has been a win-win to us all.”
