Kaduna Hajj Officials Warn Pilgrims on Luggage Rules Ahead of Return

by admin

The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has issued a strict warning to 2025 Hajj pilgrims to comply with luggage weight limits and prohibited items as preparations begin for their return to Nigeria.

Professor Mustapha Gwadabe, Chairman of the Weighing Committee, reminded pilgrims that the approved allowance is 32kg for main luggage and 8kg for hand luggage. Weighing machines have been installed at pilgrims’ accommodations in Makkah to help ensure compliance.

He also cautioned against carrying restricted items such as sharp objects, firearms, flammable materials, and unauthorized Zamzam water or perfumes. Excess luggage, he said, must be handed over to NAHCON-approved cargo handlers. Gwadabe warned that non-compliance could result in flight delays and penalties.
