The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has commended the Emir of Karaye, Muhammad Mahraz Karaye, for his contributions to the successful conduct of the 2026 Hajj operations.
The commendation came during a courtesy visit by the Director General of the Board, Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, the Chairman, Yusuf Lawan, and members of the management team to welcome the Emir back from the pilgrimage.
Speaking during the visit, Matawalle praised the Emir’s dedication and exemplary service as Deputy Amirul Hajj, saying his leadership, guidance and support contributed significantly to the smooth coordination and overall success of Kano State’s Hajj exercise.
Responding, Karaye thanked the Board for the visit and the recognition, reaffirming his commitment to supporting efforts aimed at improving Hajj administration and enhancing the welfare of Kano State pilgrims.
The visit ended with prayers for sustained peace, unity and greater success in future Hajj operations.
