The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board says it has completed all major arrangements for the 2026 Hajj, covering accommodation, feeding, transportation and tent allocations in the Holy Land.

Director General of the board, Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, disclosed this during a stakeholders’ meeting in his office on Tuesday. He said Governor Abba Kabir Yusif had granted all necessary approvals to enable the board firm up preparations ahead of next year’s pilgrimage.

Danbappa explained that the board’s recent visit to Saudi Arabia focused on inspecting and finalising arrangements for accommodation, feeding and transport services for Kano pilgrims, adding that officials also reviewed tent readiness in Makkah.

He warned intending pilgrims to pay their Hajj fare before the December 5, 2025 deadline, stressing that delays could affect seat allocation and overall planning.

Chairman of the board, Yusif Lawan, urged intending pilgrims to make early payments and secure their slots, while calling on them to pray for peace in Kano and the country, noting that a peaceful atmosphere is vital to a successful Hajj exercise.
