Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the first set of Nigerian pilgrims, comprising the advanced team for this year’s hajj from Nigeria, will depart to Saudi Arabia today.
A highly placed source informed HAJJ REPORTERS that the 36-member team includes 6 Medical team members and will be responsible for setting up medical structures for the Nigerian pilgrims.
“There are reception teams and pilgrims’ accommodation teams as well as 6 members of the Medical team in the advance team”
Traditionally, the advance team departs early to set up structures to receive pilgrims and also ensure all arrangements are put in place to ensure proper medical services”
Remember that in 2024, we experienced delays before the Saudi Ministry of Health gave approval for the setting up of Nigerian clinics in Makkah. We hope that we won’t experience the same chalk eve this year.
