The Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Ambassador Ismail Abba Yusuf, has led a high-level delegation to commiserate with the Emir of Lafia, HRH Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad I (Rtd.), over the demise of his younger brother, Barrister Ahmad Bage, the Dankaden Lafia.
The delegation, which was received by the executive secretary of the Nasarawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mallam Idris Ahmad Almakura, visited the Emir’s palace in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital, to offer their condolences and prayers for the deceased.
During the visit, Ambassador Yusuf described the late Barrister Ahmad Bage as a distinguished personality whose contributions to the community would be sorely missed. He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the soul of the departed eternal rest and to comfort the Emir, the royal family, and the entire people of Lafia Emirate over this irreparable loss.
In his response, HRH Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad I (Rtd.) expressed profound gratitude to the NAHCON Chairman and his entourage for the solidarity and show of respect.
He acknowledged the delegation’s empathy and prayed for Allah’s continued guidance and protection over their efforts in serving the nation and the Muslim Ummah.
The solemn visit underscored the strong bond between the national Hajj regulatory body and the traditional institutions in Nasarawa State, as well as the spirit of unity and compassion during times of grief.
