NAHCON set to handover Hajj Saving Scheme to State pilgrims’ boards

NAHCON is in the process of handing over the Hajj Savings Scheme to the States as specified by the NAHCON Act.

Sources from a virtual meeting between the National Hajj Commission and CEOs of State Pilgrims Welfare Agencies held yesternight by 9 to 10pm disclose to Hajj Reporters that the commission has expressed it’s readiness to handover the Hajj Savings Scheme to SPWAs as contained in the NAHCON Act 2006.

There have been controversy over the structure of operations of Hajj Saving Scheme as being implemented currently. The NAHCON Act allow NAHCON to established the HSS but to be operated by States Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.
