Nasarawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board Flags Off 2027 Pilgrims Enlightenment Exercise

The Nasarawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has flagged off the 2027 Pilgrims Enlightenment Exercise in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.

Flagging off the exercise, the Executive Secretary of the Board, Mallam Idris Almakura, said the move would afford intending pilgrims a great opportunity to acquire certain knowledge on Hajj activities.

Mallam Almakura explained that the enlightenment programme is designed to prepare intending pilgrims for the spiritual, procedural and regulatory aspects of Hajj, including rites, documentation, health and general conduct.

He urged Islamic scholars who will handle the programme across the thirteen local government areas and development areas to keep sentiment aside and remain focused on accurate and beneficial guidance.

The Executive Secretary also appealed to local government Hajj coordinators to ensure proper monitoring of the programme to avoid any breakdown of law and order.

He reiterated the Board’s commitment to a smooth, well-organised and successful Hajj operation for all intending pilgrims from Nasarawa State.
