History was made when Borno State governor His Excellency, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum Fnse Mni CON, directed the conversion of the Borno State pilgrims welfare board to a full-fledged commission. This was followed by the swift appointment of an executive chairman with full-time and part-time members.
I commend the governor for taking the bold step of converting the Hajj board to a commission, prioritizing efficiency, independence, and transparency.
This strategic move demonstrates the governor’s commitment to effective governance and accountability.
By upgrading the Hajj pilgrim board to a commission, the governor has ensured that the management of Hajj operations will be more streamlined, autonomous, and transparent.
This change, I am optimistic will not only benefit the pilgrims but also enhance the overall administration of the state’s Hajj activities.
Governor Zulum’s decision is a testament to his dedication to serving the people and promoting good governance.
I specially congratulate the Executive Chairman of the Hajj Commission, Alhaji Muhammad Dawule Maino, who was acting Executive Secretary of the Defunct board, the new Secretary, Muhammad Ali Ahmed former head of ICT in the board, full and part time members on their well-deserved appointments.
I applaud this initiative by Governor Zulum and look forward to seeing its positive impact on the state’s Hajj operations.
