The Sultanate of Oman has announced that registration for the upcoming Hajj 2026 (1447 AH) pilgrimage will officially open on September 23, 2025, and run until October 8, 2025, according to the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs.
The ministry confirmed that applications will be processed exclusively through its official online portal, ensuring transparency and convenience for prospective pilgrims. Citizens intending to perform the sacred journey are advised to submit their applications within the stipulated window, as late submissions will not be accepted.
Officials further emphasized that the selection process will prioritize fairness, with quotas distributed in accordance with Saudi Arabia’s guidelines for international pilgrims. Health and age requirements, as well as proof of prior vaccinations, will also remain compulsory for all applicants.
This announcement comes as several countries—including Bangladesh, Kyrgyzstan, and the UAE—have also opened or announced their registration timelines for Hajj 2026. Oman’s structured approach reflects its commitment to ensuring a smooth, well-organized pilgrimage experience for its citizens.
