Pay in Naira, Receive in Riyals: How UmrahCash app simplifies Hajj/Umrah finances – Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager of UmrahCash, Muhammad Sabiu Danpullo, a Fintech App that allows Hajj and Umrah pilgrims from Nigeria to pay in Nigerian Naira before their trip and receive Saudi Riyals upon arrival in Saudi Arabia, said the app is now fully functional both in Nigeria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The app is designed to eliminate the need for risky and inefficient currency exchange practices.

Speaking to HAJJ REPORTERS, Muhammad Sabiu Danpullo STATED THAT that ‘all you need to do is to download the UmrahCash application, register by following the inbuilt steps, make your payments in naira and receive the equivalent of what you pay in Saudi Arabia Riyals in Saudi Arabia.

“Umrahcash app is now fully automated and functional and has acquired all the legal and regulatory frameworks to operate in Saudi Arabia and Nigeria. All you need to do is to Register as Travel Agents on the UmrahCash app. This gives you access to our wholesale rates, digital deposit system and network of agents in Nigeria and in Saudi Arabia. You can also download the Umrahcash app as an individual and register with your details in the app. 

Then, either transfer Nigerian Naira via the app or Deposit Cash directly to us in our offices in Kano. This will immediately be credited to your account: you now have SAR to withdraw in Saudi Arabia 

He said pilgrims can either request that the money be delivered to them in their preferred locations in Saudi Arabia or simply visit the Umrahcash office in Saudi 

Arabia where your account will be immediately debited and get the Riyals equivalent in Cash. 

Speaking to HAJJ REPORTERS, Muhammad Sabiu Danpullo said Umracash agents are waiting to effect payments as soon as pilgrims arrive in Makkkah, Jeddah or MADINA, depending on where you want to revive your Riyal. “We have also recruited a network of trusted agents across Northern Nigeria that will provide local language support for users.

 Ask whether UmrahCash is legally recognized to Operate in Saudi Arabia,  Muhammad Sabiu explained that all the necessary legal framework has been concluded in Saudi Arabia and that the MD/CEO of UmrahCash Williams Phelps is currently in Saudi Arabia to make further arrangements with accredited agents on how to offer seamless service.
