In preparation to the commencement of Umrah Services from Katsina, The Executive Director, Katsina state pilgrims welfare board Alh. Suleiman Nuhu Kuki and his management held a consultative meeting with the management of Federal Airport Authority of Umaru Musa Yar’adua international airport Katsina at the Board’s headquarters in Katsina.
Alhaji Suleiman Nuhu kuki had informed the Manager of the Airport Authority that recently the executive governor Alh Aminu Bello Masari granted approval to the board to commence Umrah operations from Katsina and informed them of the boards intention to utilise the Umaru Musa Yar’adua international airport for the airlift of Umrah pilgrims from Katsina state.

The Executive Director added that the board intend to airlifts its first set of Umrah pilgrims in January 2022 and hope to begin full Umrah operations during the peak period of Ramadan using Umaru Musa Yar’adua international airport Katsina.
He expressed the board’s appreciation to the Management of FAAN and other Stakeholders on Hajj affairs in the state and the nation at large.
A statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Alh Badaru Bello Karofi said that “Alhaji Suleiman Nuhu kuki assured the FAAN management of the board’s readiness to collaborate with the airport management towards successful Umrah operations from Katsina state.
Katsina Muslim Pilgrim’s Board Partners AL-Rufaqa Travels for Umrah services
Speaking earlier, the Manager Umaru Musa Yar’adua international airport, Alhaji Adamu Shiekh informed the Executive Director that they are in the board to discuss the board’s action plan towards the utilization of Umaru Musa Yar’adua international airport for Umrah operations.
The Airport Manager also expressed appreciation on the board’s plan for Umrah Services from Katsina. He commended Katsina Pilgrims Welfare Board for the Umrah Initiative, and assured the Executive Director that FAAN will do all that is needful to assist the board in actualizing hitch-free Umrah Services from Katsina.
