Yobe Pilgrims Set for First Hajj Flight on May 16

The Yobe State Pilgrims Commission has announced that the first batch of intending pilgrims for the 2025 Hajj will depart for Saudi Arabia on May 16, 2025. The announcement was made by the Executive Chairman of the Commission, Alhaji Mai Aliyu Usman, during a stakeholders’ meeting with fare collectors from all 17 local government areas of the state.

According to Alhaji Mai Aliyu, the flight operated by Umza Air is in line with the official timetable released by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON). He assured that all necessary preparations have been concluded to guarantee a hitch-free commencement of Hajj operations in the state.

“We are fully prepared for this year’s Hajj. The cooperation of pilgrims is key, and we urge them to strictly follow the rules and guidelines provided by both Nigerian and Saudi authorities,” he stated.

He emphasized the importance of discipline and cooperation from pilgrims to ensure a smooth and spiritually rewarding journey.

Alhaji Mai Aliyu also expressed profound appreciation to Governor Mai Mala Buni for his administration’s consistent support of the commission and its activities.

The 2025 Hajj promises to be a well-organized and spiritually fulfilling experience for Yobe pilgrims, with the state commission reaffirming its commitment to upholding transparency, safety, and service excellence.
