2025 Hajj: Abuja Muslim Forum Urges FG to Improve Pilgrims’ Welfare

by admin

The Abuja Muslim Forum has appealed to the Federal Government and relevant stakeholders to enhance welfare provisions for Nigerian pilgrims participating in the 2025 Hajj.

In a statement signed by its Amir, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Ajani, the Forum commended the efforts of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), State Pilgrims Welfare Boards, and other agencies for their preparations so far. However, it emphasized the need for greater focus on the comfort and wellbeing of pilgrims.

Key among the Forum’s demands are more affordable Hajj fares, improved accommodation near holy sites in Makkah and Madinah, efficient transportation during the Hajj rites, and robust healthcare services.

“Hajj is a profound spiritual obligation, and its successful performance leaves a lasting impact on individuals and the nation,” the Forum stated. “Ensuring the welfare of pilgrims is not just a logistical responsibility, but a religious duty.”

The Forum prayed for a smooth and spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage for all intending pilgrims this year.
