2025 Hajj: FCT Pilgrims Board Conducts Medical Screening, Distributes Hand Luggage to Intending Pilgrims

by admin

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board on Saturday commenced a comprehensive medical screening exercise for intending pilgrims ahead of the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage. The screening was held at the Board’s Permanent Hajj Transit Camp located in Bassan Jiwa, near the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

The exercise targeted intending pilgrims from the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Bwari, and Kuje Area Councils, as well as those registered under the Hajj Savings Scheme (HSS). The screening aims to determine the medical and mental fitness of pilgrims to undertake the rigorous spiritual journey to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Speaking during the exercise, officials emphasized the importance of health checks to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during the Hajj rituals.

In a related development, the Board also distributed 8 KG hand luggage bags to the screened pilgrims. The distribution is part of the Board’s logistics preparations for a smooth and well-coordinated pilgrimage experience this year.

The FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board reiterated its commitment to ensuring that all intending pilgrims are adequately prepared spiritually, physically, and logistically for a successful Hajj 2025.
