The Gombe State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced that each of the state’s intending pilgrims will receive $500 as Basic Travel Allowance, BTA, for 2025 Hajj.
The Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Sa’adu Hassan, disclosed this at the closing of the mid-time break of the Pilgrims enlightenment programme, popularly known as bita at Government Arabic Teachers College, ATC, Gombe.
He noted that the closure of the bita was necessitated considering the forthcoming month of Ramadan that would be a period of spiritual focus and rejuvenation for the pilgrims.
The event marked a significant milestone in the Board’s effort, commitment and dedication to educate and prepare pilgrims for seamless, smooth, meaningful and successful Hajj operations.
