$400 BTA: Gov Sule pays $200 dollars as Hadaya fee for Nasarawa Pilgrims

Following the unexpected reduction in this year’s Pilgrim’s BTA from the earlier announced $500 dollars to $410 dollars, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State Engineer Abdullahi Sule said the government will pay off the pilgrim’s HADAYA to reduce their hardship.

The Governor who announced this through the Executive Secretary of the board Mallam Idris Almakura said each pilgrims HADAYA will cost $200 dollars at official’s price and government will shoulder the responsibility considering its necessity in the Hajj rite.

The Governor explained that the motive behind the decision was geared toward curtailing the hardship pilgrims may experience as a result of the shortfall in the BTA due to sudden change in foreign exchange rate, calling on pilgrims to avoid extravagant spending.

In his words, the Executive Secretary of the board Mallam Idris Almakura who expressed worries over the development, said the board has since commenced disbursement of the BTA balance and will continue to enlightened pilgrims on the need to manage to their spending.

Almakura used the medium to advice pilgrims to always prayers for the stability of the country’s economy and to prayers for the success of Governor Sule ‘s administration.

Some pilgrims interviewed to thanked Governor Sule for paying their HADAYA and other welfare, just as they promised to prayer for his administration and the country at large.
