How we track, monitor the movement of pilgrims during Hajj – Mr Khalil

The Saudi Arabia Pilgrim’s Care Centre said the Centre’s state-of-the-art help in monitoring pilgrim’s journeys to enable them assists in the event of a breakdown of a vehicle or any emergency 

Speaking with HAJJ REPORTERS at the ongoing Hajj and Umrah Conference in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, The Director in charge of the GPS tracking Centre, Mr Khalil, explained that the monitoring system began as soon as pilgrims entered the buses either in Makkah or at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.

“Every bus is being tracked from the point of arrival of pilgrims up to the destination. This covers both King Abdul Aziz Airport to pilgrims’ accommodations, from Pilgrim’s accommodation in Makkah to the Mina and to Arafat and back to Mina.

This column shows details of Bus drivers and the map on the right denotes the condition of the Bus. Each colour represent certain conditions and the red colour shows that the Bus is immovable and we will immediately dispatch a rescue bus to the area,
