Mashariq Revives Tradition with Special Welcome Event for Nigerian Pilgrims, organize operational parley

In a symbolic return to the roots of Hajj hospitality, Mashariq Al Dhahabia, one of the service providers approved by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), hosted a special welcome event for Nigerian pilgrims under its care on Friday.

The event, held in Rabuah, Makkah, brought together officials and representatives from Yobe, Benue, and Jigawa states—those under Service Centre 205—as part of a pre-Arafat operational engagement and cultural celebration.

Speaking to Hajj Reporters, the Operational Manager of Mashariq said the gesture was inspired by the traditions of Makkah from over 50 years ago when locals would warmly receive pilgrims by washing their clothes and tending to their needs as a mark of honour and hospitality.

“Today, Mashariq is retracing those steps to offer an excellent and memorable experience for Nigerian pilgrims. This event is not just about service—it’s about reviving history and honouring the sacred journey of Hajj with the dignity it deserves,” he said.

The event featured cultural presentations and reaffirmed Mashariq’s commitment to delivering top-tier services to Nigerian pilgrims throughout the 2025 Hajj season.
