Independent Hajj Reporters (IHR) has been praised for its critical role in monitoring, documenting, and assessing Hajj operations in Nigeria.
In his keynote address at the Independent Hajj Reporters Annual Awards and Lecture Series held at the National Mosque, Abuja, guest speaker Ustaz Abubakr Siddeeq Muhammad, Managing Director of Comerel Travels and Tours Ltd, described IHR as a “potent monitor” and a reliable stakeholder in the Hajj industry.
He noted that IHR’s reportage had become a trusted reference for operators, regulators, and pilgrims alike. “Your social media handles are the repositories of Hajj-related activity not only in Nigeria but in the wider world of Hajj. To carry you along is a necessity for guidance and genuine feedback on refining the services received by Nigerian pilgrims,” he said.
Muhammad added that IHR’s consistent monitoring and feedback had contributed significantly to improving accountability and transparency in the sector.
