The Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Prof. Abdullahi Saleh Usman, has briefed the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah on Nigeria’s readiness for the 2026 Hajj during a virtual meeting.
He highlighted key milestones, including the securing of camp slots, and said the selection of air carriers is in its final stage, with details to be shared soon for flight harmonization. He added that the same 10 lead tour companies from 2025 will be retained, maintaining their previous camp zones.
In response, Youssef Jamal Altharthi of the Saudi Ministry commended NAHCON’s proactive planning and urged early submission of pilgrims’ data, visa processing, and adherence to health protocols. He noted that Nusuk cards will now be issued at airports upon arrival.
Prof. Usman reaffirmed NAHCON’s commitment to a smooth and spiritually fulfilling 2026 Hajj for Nigerian pilgrims.
