Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has approved the appointment of the Emir of Agaie, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Yusuf Nuhu, as the State Amirul Hajj for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
In a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman disclosed that the appointment of the first-class traditional ruler is based on his track record of hard work, commitment, patriotism and trustworthiness.
Governor Umaru Bago congratulated the 2026 Amirul Hajj and wished him success and God’s guidance in the performance of the arduous task, the statement added.
