Officials of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency (KSPWA) on Saturday visited pilgrims’ enlightenment centres in Igabi and Kaduna North Local Government Areas to assess the ongoing exercise as it entered its fourth week.

The monitoring visit was led by the Director of Enlightenment, Abubakar Alhassan, alongside a staff officer, Rakiya S. Ladan, and the agency’s public relations officer.

Alhassan expressed satisfaction with the level of organisation, participation and seriousness displayed by the intending pilgrims at the centres. He urged them to remain committed to all scheduled lectures and to seek clarification on issues relating to Hajj rites, rules and conduct.

He said the enlightenment programme, popularly known as Bita, is designed to prepare pilgrims spiritually, mentally and practically for a successful Hajj.

The agency reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that all intending pilgrims are properly informed and adequately prepared ahead of the pilgrimage.
