The newly appointed Acting Director-General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, has formally assumed office.
The announcement was contained in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the board, Sulaiman Dederi.
Speaking after assuming duty, Matawalle pledged to strengthen the operations of the board and ensure efficient service delivery to intending pilgrims from the state. He stressed the need for transparency, dedication, and teamwork in achieving the board’s mandate.
He also called on management staff and relevant stakeholders to give their full cooperation as he works to improve pilgrims’ welfare and enhance the overall pilgrimage experience.
The appointment signals a new phase in the leadership of the board, with renewed emphasis on accountability and effective administration.
