Saudi Ministry closes pilgrims registration platform, says no extension on 2026 Hajj timelines

The uploading of e-passports for the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage officially closed yesterday at exactly 10:15 pm Nigeria time and 12:15 am Saudi Time marking the end of 2026 Hajj registration for either official or unofficial pilgrims.

Findings by Hajj Reporters show that an attempt to upload data on the Nusuk Masar will result in the following information: “The allowed period for registering pilgrims’ data has ended and “ the allowed period for registering Hajj mission member data has ended”

The Nusuk Masar serves as a platform for uploading pilgrims’ biometric data for processing hajj visas for all hajj participating countries. The 2026 Hajj calendar of events released bythe  Saudi Ministry of Hajj scheduled 8th February as the last date for uploading e-passport information of all registered Hajj pilgrims for this year’s Hajj.

There have been expectations among intending pilgrims and Hajj operators across Nigeria that the Saudi Ministry of Hajj may extend the date to allow registration of more intending pilgrims.

The development marks a critical milestone in the preparation process for the pilgrimage, as e-passport submission is a key requirement for visa processing and other logistical arrangements. Intending pilgrims who are yet to complete the process are urged to act swiftly before the deadline.

However, officials say an extension remains uncertain, pending an official decision from Saudi authorities. They advised pilgrims and state pilgrimage boards to monitor updates closely to avoid last-minute disruptions to their Hajj plans.
