The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced the completion of visa issuance for all Nigerian pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj exercise.

Chairman of the commission, Ismail Yusuf Abba, disclosed this in his Eid-el-Fitri message to Muslims in Nigeria and across the world.

Abba said the development marks a major milestone in the commission’s preparations, adding that the process was concluded in line with the approved timeline.

“I am pleased to announce that all visas have now been successfully issued in line with the established timeline, as we transition to the pre-arrival stage,” he said.

He noted that the next phase of the Hajj operation would commence on 1 Shawwal 1447AH, as the commission intensifies arrangements for the pilgrimage.

The NAHCON chairman also reassured intending pilgrims of improved service delivery, stressing the commission’s commitment to their welfare.

“We are fully committed to enhancing the quality of services across accommodation, feeding, medical care and transportation, while ensuring safety and comfort of every pilgrim,” he said.

Abba further urged Muslims to sustain the virtues of discipline, unity and generosity imbibed during Ramadan, praying for peace and prosperity in the country.

He also commended stakeholders and staff of the commission for their support and dedication towards the successful preparation for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
