The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has refunded payments to Kaduna State pilgrims who were unable to secure visas for the 2026 Hajj due to Saudi authorities’ reduction of Nigeria’s quota.

Chairman of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Salisu Abubakar, disclosed this during a press briefing, stating that the refunds have been remitted to the agency for onward disbursement to affected pilgrims.

Abubakar, however, advised those affected to consider rolling over their payments to the 2027 Hajj exercise for early processing. He also urged them to accept the situation in good faith.

The Chairman expressed appreciation to the Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, for his support and guidance toward the 2026 Hajj preparations.
