A delegation from the Federal Ministry of Health, led by the Director of Port Health Services, Mrs. Bilkisu Idris Jibril, on Monday visited the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency to assess its readiness for the 2026 Hajj.
During the visit, the team inspected the Hajj Transit Camp in Mando, evaluating key facilities including accommodation, medical units, sanitation, and water supply to ensure compliance with health standards.
Mrs. Jibril said the inspection was crucial to preventing the spread of infectious diseases during international travel. “We must ensure all facilities meet national and international health regulations to safeguard pilgrims and the public,” she said, while commending the agency’s level of preparedness.
In his remarks, the Executive Chairman, Malam Salihu S. Abubakar, appreciated the visit and reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to a safe and hitch-free Hajj exercise.
The inspection is part of the ministry’s nationwide assessment ahead of the pilgrimage.
