Distribution of Nusuk cards to intending pilgrims in the Lagos departure zone has commenced, marking a key step in preparations for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
The exercise was carried out by Mashariq Al Dhahabia, an approved service provider of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria.
At the event, Nusuk cards were presented to the Special Adviser to the Governor on Islamic Matters, Ahmad Abdullahi Jebe, and the Secretary of the Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, AbdulHakeem Ajomagberin.
The ceremony was presided over by the NAHCON Commissioner for Operations, Inspectorate and Licensing, Anofiu Olanrewaju Elegushi, alongside representatives of the service provider and other stakeholders.
Officials said the distribution signals the start of the rollout of Nusuk cards to pilgrims in the Lagos zone ahead of the commencement of airlift for the 2026 Hajj.
