The Executive Secretary of the Niger State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board, Sheikh Muhammad Awwal Aliyu, has charged operational staff and members of the medical team deployed for the 2026 Hajj exercise to uphold diligence and professionalism while carrying out their duties in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Speaking during an engagement session with the personnel, Aliyu stressed the need for commitment, discipline and attention to pilgrims’ welfare, particularly in feeding, transportation, accommodation, healthcare and coordination.
He urged the medical team to provide prompt and efficient services throughout the pilgrimage, while also emphasizing teamwork, accountability and seamless coordination among officials. The executive secretary also announced the constitution of various committees to enhance efficiency and service delivery, according to a statement signed by the board’s Public Relations Officer, Jibrin Usman Kodo, on May 6, 2026.
