A government delegation in Adamawa State on Wednesday inspected facilities designated as the 2026 Hajj camp in Yola as part of preparations for the pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.
The delegation, led by the Amirul Hajj, Ali Danburam, visited the Bridgehood Hotel, a three-star facility selected to serve as the transit camp for intending pilgrims from the state.
Members of the team, including Secretary to the State Government, Awwal Tukur, were received by the Acting Executive Chairman of the Adamawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission, Abubakar Salihu, who conducted them round the premises. The officials assessed accommodation, transportation arrangements and other logistics aimed at ensuring a smooth exercise.
Danburam expressed satisfaction with the level of preparedness, noting that the government remained committed to providing comfortable and secure facilities for pilgrims. He said the arrangements would support a seamless and rewarding Hajj experience.
The visit, according to officials, forms part of broader efforts by the state government to ensure hitch-free 2026 Hajj operations.
