The Zamfara State Hajj Commission has released the official flight schedule for the 2026 Hajj operation, with airlift of pilgrims set to begin on May 15.
According to the schedule, the first flight will depart on May 15 with 181 pilgrims drawn from Gummi and several local government areas, including Shinkafi, Bukkuyum, Zurmi, Kaura-Namoda, Bungudu, Bakura, Maru, Anka, Gusau, Maradun, Talata Mafara, Birnin Magaji and Tsafe. Subsequent flights will take place daily from May 16 to May 19, with three flights conveying 485 pilgrims each, while the final flight will airlift 119 pilgrims, comprising others and government officials.
The commission said the staggered departures are aimed at ensuring a smooth and well-coordinated airlift of all intending pilgrims from the state.
