The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has trained officials selected for the 2026 Hajj operations as part of preparations for the state’s inaugural flight scheduled for May 14.

The training, held in Kaduna on May 7, was designed to equip the officials with the skills required to manage pilgrims effectively during the exercise in Saudi Arabia.

Speaking at the session, Executive Chairman of the agency, Salihu Abubakar, urged participants to demonstrate discipline, professionalism and dedication, noting that they would be representing the government and people of Kaduna State. He stressed the need for fairness, patience and compassion in dealing with pilgrims, adding that their welfare must remain the top priority.

Abubakar also called for teamwork and strict adherence to Hajj guidelines to ensure a smooth operation from departure to return.

Participants were taken through key operational areas, including welfare management, emergency response, accommodation and transportation coordination, as well as health and safety procedures.

The agency reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a hitch-free and well-coordinated Hajj exercise for pilgrims from the state, according to a statement signed by its Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Datti.
