The Honorable Minister of State FCT, Hajiya (Dr) Mariya Mahmoud, has today, 07/05/2026, inaugurated the FCT First Flight for this year’s Hajj exercise and bid farewell to the intending pilgrims.
The Honorable Minister, assisted by the Director of the Board, Malam Kadiri Edah, commenced the ceremony at the Permanent Hajj Transit Camp, Bassan Jiwa and later, moved to the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja.
In attendance, was the NAHCON chairman, Amb, Yusuf Abba Ismail and his entourage, as well as some other critical stakeholders of the Hajj industry in the FCT.
The Minister charged the intending pilgrims to be law abiding, especially during their stay in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and as well, to be good ambassadors of Nigeria and more importantly, to pray for the unity, harmony and peaceful coexistence of the country.
Hajiya Mariya Mahmoud, further, reaffirmed the commitments of the FCT Administration under the leadership of the Honorable Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike, towards the total welfare and well-being of the FCT residents, especially in line with the present Administration’s Renewed Hope agenda.
