Mashariq Al Dhahabia Company Honours Governor Yusuf, Other Kano Hajj Officials

SANA Company, a major service provider for Nigerian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia, has honoured Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, with an award as the Best Governor in Nigeria for his support and commitment to the welfare of pilgrims during the 2026 Hajj exercise.

 

The award was presented at a dinner ceremony held in Makkah, where the Head of SANA Company, Abdullah Muhammad Hassan, commended the governor for his efforts in ensuring the comfort and well-being of Kano pilgrims throughout the pilgrimage.

 

Other recipients included board member, Bashir Arabi; Director-General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abubakar Matawalle; and the Emir of Gaya, Aliyu Abdulkadir, who received the Amirul Hajj of the Year award.

 

Speaking at the event, Matawalle explained that SANA Company is responsible for handling pilgrims’ passports for Nusuk processing as well as providing feeding and transportation services in Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah. He thanked the company for recognising members of the Kano Hajj delegation.

 

Responding on behalf of Governor Yusuf, the Emir of Gaya expressed appreciation to SANA Company for the honour and for acknowledging the governor’s contributions to improving Hajj operations and pilgrims’ welfare.

 

The event was attended by government officials, Islamic scholars, management staff and other dignitaries. According to the statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Sulaiman Dederi, the awards recognised outstanding contributions to the success of the 2026 Hajj exercise.
