The Management of the Nasarawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, led by its Executive Secretary, Mallam Idris Almakura, has officially presented death certificates and cash refunds totaling One Million Two Hundred and ninery eight Thousand seven hundred Naira (₦1,298,700) to each of the family of two pilgrims who passed away during the 2026 Hajj operation in Saudi Arabia .
The deceased pilgrims Late Hajiya Fatima Babayo, from Gudi, Akwanga local government and Late Hajiya Rukyya Haliru, from the Keffi Local Government Area of the state where both burried in the presences of board’s officials in Makkah.
While presenting the death certificates and cash Mallam Idris Almakura extended the condolences of the Nasarawa State Government to the bereaved families. He emphasized that the refund represents the unutilized components of the Hajj fare paid.
The Executive Secretary of the Board reiterated its commitment to the welfare and safety of all Nasarawa pilgrims during operations.
The Chairman of the board Mallam Umar Usman Baba and Directors of the board were part of the deligation.
