The Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana (PAOG) has announced the immediate closure of payment windows for the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage, citing proactive measures to prevent oversubscription, avoid administrative backlogs, and align confirmed numbers with Ghana’s approved national quota.
Reasons For Closure
According to the Office, oversubscription has historically resulted in administrative backlogs and operational issues during Hajj operations.
PAOG aims to ensure that all registered participants who paid the established GH¢60,000 fare are properly processed and airlifted smoothly.
The board further advised individuals who failed to complete their payments before the abrupt closure to wait for the 2028 Hajj exercise
It cautioned the public against unauthorised third-party agents or individuals claiming they can still secure open slots.
