The Director-General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Alhaji Salisu Abdullahi Gaya, who died yesterday after a brief illness.
Alhaji Salisu Abdullahi Gaya, aged 55, is survived by his wife and three children.
Until his death, he was a staff member of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), where he served at the Kano Zonal Office.
During a condolence visit to the deceased’s family, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest and admit him into Aljannatul Firdaus.
The Director-General was accompanied on the visit by a delegation from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, comprising the Director of Administration, Alhaji Alidu Shuti; the Director, States and Zones, Malam Muhammad Ahmad Shira; the Director of Planning, Alhaji Ibrahim Mahmud; and the Special Adviser to the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission, Alhaji Muhammad Maigari.
Alhaji Matawalle further called on the deceased’s family members to remain united, uphold peace, and support one another during this difficult period.
