Saudia Hajj and Umrah, a subsidiary of Saudia Group, has entered a preliminary agreement with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah aimed at improving services for pilgrims, according to TradeArabia News Service. The arrangement was formalised at the fourth Umrah and Ziyarah Forum in Jeddah, with Minister Dr Tawfig Al-Rabiah and Saudia Group Director General Ibrahim Al-Omar witnessing the signing.
The agreement centres on integrating digital platforms, exchanging essential information and reinforcing institutional collaboration. By coordinating the efforts of the entities involved, the partnership is intended to raise service quality and enrich the spiritual journey for visitors and Umrah pilgrims.
Amer Alkhushail, Chief Executive Officer of Saudia Hajj and Umrah, indicated that the agreement draws on Saudia’s position as the national flag carrier and its role in connecting Umrah pilgrims and visitors to the Two Holy Mosques with their destinations through its scheduled network and air and ground services.
He added that Saudia is continuing to develop its operational capabilities and expand capacity to carry more pilgrims annually, in support of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Pilgrim Experience Program.
Alkhushail also noted that Saudia is pressing ahead with innovation and digital transformation across its development initiatives, with the aim of simplifying travel procedures and improving services throughout the journey to enhance the overall experience and meet pilgrims’ changing expectations.
