Indonesia Govt Subsidize 2027 Hajj with Rp 3.2 million per Hajj pilgrim

The government has allocated a subsidy for the costs of organizing the Hajj pilgrimage in 2027 amounting to Rp 3.2 million per Hajj pilgrim.

Consequently, the payment for the costs of organizing the Hajj pilgrimage (Bipih) that must be paid by each Hajj pilgrim has decreased to Rp 23,048,825.

This was decided during the Working Meeting of Commission VIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, at the Senayan Parliamentary Complex, Jakarta, Wednesday (7/10/2026).

The meeting was attended by, among others, Deputy Speaker of the House Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, Chairman of Commission VIII Marwan Dasopang, and Minister of Hajj and Umrah Mochamad Irfan Yusuf. Additionally, Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak and Head of the Executive Agency of the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) Fadlul Imansyah were present.

The government and the DPR announced the cost of organizing the hajj pilgrimage (BPIH) for the 1448 H/2027 M season amounting to Rp 98,466,351.35. The cost components include, among others, the domestic BPIH of Rp 5.64 million, the BPIH in Saudi Arabia of Rp 54.31 million, and the flight cost per pilgrim reaching Rp 38.50 million.
