The Executive Secretary of Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Imam Abdulrahman Idris has been conferred with the traditional title of “Dujuma Bauchi” by the emir of Bauchi, His Royal Highness, Dr Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu (CFR).
News of the appointment was conveyed to the ES in a letter written in Hausa, dated February 4th, 2026 and addressed to Imam Abdulrahman, confirming the approval of the emir in consultation with his traditional council of chiefs
The Letter was signed by the secretary of the emirate council, Alhaji Shehu Mudi Muhammad, reads in part, “ I am happy to inform you that His Royal Highness and the emirate council have approved your appointment as DUJUMA BAUCHI based on your exemplary behaviours”.
The letter also expressed the desire of the emir and his council to see Mallam Abdulrahman continue to make the Bauchi emirate proud.
