In a renewed effort to ensure a successful and hitch-free 2025 Hajj exercise, the Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has launched an intensive sensitization campaign across the 20 local government areas of the state.

A high-powered delegation, led by the Special Adviser to Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed on Hajj Affairs, Hon. Shehu Wadaji, alongside the Executive Secretary of the Board, Imam Abdulrahman Ibrahim Idris, embarked on an inspection tour to various sensitization centers.

The exercise, which kicked off with visits to Gyade, Shira, Jama’are, and Itas-Gadau local government areas, was aimed at ensuring proper orientation of intending pilgrims and strengthening adherence to guidelines set by Saudi Arabian authorities.

Speaking at the centers, Hon. Wadaji emphasized the critical importance of respecting the rules and regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the pilgrimage, cautioning pilgrims against any behavior that could lead to confrontations with authorities in the Holy Land.

“The image of our state and our country is at stake during Hajj. We must present ourselves with dignity and discipline,” he urged.

In his address, Imam Abdulrahman Ibrahim Idris encouraged intending pilgrims to approach the Hajj with pure intentions, devotion, and full submission to Allah, stressing that a Hajj Mabrur (an accepted Hajj) is a lifelong spiritual milestone.

Quoting verses from the Holy Qur’an and Hadith, Imam Idris reminded pilgrims of the immense spiritual reward for a sincerely performed Hajj, urging them to remain focused and attentive throughout the training and eventual pilgrimage.

He also commended the dedication and professionalism of the Board’s staff, praying for Allah’s blessings upon them for their tireless efforts.

The sensitization campaign is part of the Board’s broader strategy to improve pilgrims’ enlightenment, spiritual preparedness, and compliance with both Nigerian and Saudi Hajj regulations. The tour is expected to cover the remaining local governments in the coming days.
