The Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has secured over 80 per cent of visas for the state intending pilgrims who willing to perform the 2024 Hajj exercise.
The Executive Secretary of the Board Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris made this known while flagging off the distribution of hand bags and uniforms to Bauchi intending pilgrims which held today at the headquarters of the Board.
He said Bauchi has 2680 prospective intending pilgrims, adding that the Board has already printed over 2200 visas.
While working toward the timely receiving of visas to other prospective intending pilgrims. Imam Abdurrahman said his Board has made adequate arrangement to release a flights schedule.
He further described Uniform as Identity for all pilgrims during Hajj exercise, urged pilgrims to always wear their uniforms for identification right from Hajj camp in Bauchi and when performing Hajj rites in Saudi Arabia.
He advised pilgrims to immediately sew their uniforms on time, noting that National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON has fixed 15th of May, 2024 to commence an outbound airlift of pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.
