Egyptian travel agencies have officially started accepting applications from citizens wishing to perform Hajj in the upcoming 2025-2026 season the process complies with regulations established by both Saudi and Egyptian authorities.
This initiative follows recent discussions held by the Religious Tourism Committee with tour companies, which emphasized the importance of opening registration promptly to adapt to new procedures for the pilgrimage.
Travel agencies have urged potential pilgrims to approach their local offices directly, warning against dealing with intermediaries or brokers to protect pilgrims’ rights and safety.
The early registration period is set to conclude by the end of September, with coordination ongoing between the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Federation of Travel Agencies, and the Higher Committee of Hajj and Umrah to finalize the pilgrimage regulations.
A comprehensive report has been prepared by the Religious Tourism Committee, reviewing last year’s challenges and proposing solutions, with input from company owners, which has been forwarded for approval by the Tourism Minister.
During meetings, travel agencies agreed on the need to combat illegal brokers and entities organizing unauthorized Hajj and Umrah trips, considering the financial and health risks to citizens and the harm to licensed agencies.
